M Cross Antiques has dated this Georgian Mahogany Secretaire Chest to the Georgian era.

The main writing area has a selection of pigeonholes and two miniature drawers for storage and a red tooled leather writing surface. When closed, the secretaire faux drawer front features cockbeaded edging and boxwood stringing to the face and is complemented by brass drop handles. The three graduated drawer fronts below this feature the same cock beading and brass drop handles. Mounted on a base with a reeded edge and bracket feet.
The overall condition is excellent with only light age-related wear. We have noted a small scratch toward the rear of the top which has been colour matched and re-polished.
