Large Art Deco Platinum Sapphire and Diamond Ring

Large Art Deco Platinum Sapphire and Diamond Ring. Superb quality Ring consisting of a dark blue sapphire which measures 12x 9mm. The sapphire has great depth of blue colour with zoning to one side which is a lighter shade of blue and indicates it to be a large Natural stone. The sapphire is surrounded by a halo of twelve sparkly old mine cut diamonds measuring approx 2mm x 2.mm and 3 points each set into a milligrain oval setting. Total diamond weight 0.42ct minimum. The total face of the Ring measures 18mm x 14mm. The ring exudes art deco elegance and has a striking contrasting look between the sparkle of the diamonds and the very deep dark blue sapphire. This ring has plenty of WOW factor it would make a wonderful antique engagement ring or a striking cocktail or dress ring. Though in great original wearable condition the ring has a couple of age related condition issues - there is some slight abrading and a scratch to the top table facet which can be seen in the photos. One of the diamonds has a chip to the side. The shank is strong and wearable but has some thinning. These factors are reflected in the price of the ring. No hallmarks but the ring has been tested throughout and most certainly dates to the early art deco era. This ring is size UK N.5 and US 6 3/4 Weight 4.1g
