A Superb Brittania Standard Silver 'Beak' Jug

A superb quality cream jug of superior gauge and in Brittania Standard silver. This delightful example is in the classic 18th Century style and is known as a 'beak' jug. It has a baluster shaped body, pedestal foor, applied handle and a small pouring 'beak.

Brittania Standard is a higher grade of silver being 958 parts per 1000, compared to the more regular Sterling silver, which is 925 parts per 1000. An attractive piece, both practical and decorative. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits. There is a small dimple to the body, commensurate with age and use.
