Antique Isfahan rug with a very traditional floral design with a small central medallion.
 
Circa 1900.
 
The rug has a small central medallion surrounded by floral sprays on a warm Burgundy red ground. The border has a red ground and has a traditional floral design. This rug was probably woven in one of the many small village workshops surrounding the city of Isfahan. The rug has an overall soft colour palate, with light blues, pinks and soft greens.
 
The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile.
 
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
 
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
