Isfahan rugs are hand-knotted Persian carpets originating from the city of Isfahan in central Iran. Historically renowned for high knot density and intricate compositions, these carpets frequently feature medallion designs, intricate spiralling vines, and detailed pictorial Tree of Life motifs.

Traditional Isfahan carpets are constructed using natural wool or silk pile spun onto a cotton or silk foundation warp and weft. Dyes are historically derived from natural plant and mineral sources to produce rich terracotta, indigo blue, and ivory tones.
