Fine Antique Kashan Rug. 206cm X 130cm.

Description

Central persia, circa 1880.

Finely woven with kurk wool and a lot more going for it than the average kashan and a good deal older than those coming into the early 20th century.

The ground colour is a soft coral with finer detailed floral designs. Refer to the close up images.

It has all over low pile with very light wear which I think adds to it's attractive appearance.

Has been hand washed,last images,side bindings rebound and ends stopped so ready to use and in very tidy condition.

Size is 6 foot 9 inches by 4 foot 3 inches. 206cm X 130cm. At widest points. Fringes not measured in size. Fine kurk wool pile hand knotted onto fine cotton foundations with the weft threads as usual for kashans dyed light blue.

Priced at sensible money. £1250 gbp. U.k post £20.
