An exceptional Edwardian six-tier barrister’s bookcase in beautifully figured oak, showcasing a warm patina and striking grain. Each glazed section features lift-up, retractable doors with original hardware and knob handles, reflecting the craftsmanship and practicality of early 20th-century design. The sectional design, with removable cornice and plinth, allows each part to be lifted off with ease, making transport and installation wonderfully simple. The top four compartments offer a clearance of 23cm, suitable for standard books or display items, while the bottom two accommodate taller volumes at 28cm. In excellent antique condition, with only light surface wear commensurate with age. A versatile and elegant piece, perfect for both home and office settings.
