Platinum and diamond pieces should be cleaned periodically using warm soapy water and a soft brush, and stored individually in lined jewellery boxes to prevent scratching other items.

Antique brooches can be worn traditionally on jacket lapels or repurposed as statement accessories fastened to evening clutches, silk scarves, or velvet headbands.

Authentic pieces typically feature period-correct settings such as millegrain edging, hand-cut geometric stones, and secure dual-pronged clip mechanisms designed to fasten onto heavy lapels or dresses.

Master jewellers of the 1930s predominantly utilised platinum for its strength and bright white lustre, allowing for delicate settings that maximised the brilliance of brilliant-cut and baguette-cut diamonds.

Art Deco jewellery, prominent from the 1920s to the 1930s, is characterised by geometric shapes, stylised symmetry, and a strong emphasis on clean lines, frequently utilising platinum paired with diamonds.
