Antique Tekke Turkmen chuval face with 30 small chuval guls.

Circa 1880 or earlier.

A good chuval face with six rows of five small chuval guls on a clear madder red ground. The chuval face is of very fine weave with a feeling of good age. The main border is a classic Turkmen design with superb colour. The elem is of the classic Tekke small flower or shrub design.

Good condition with slight even wear and good pile.
