Description

Vintage Silver & Carnelian Brooch

A fine vintage brooch, set with a polished carnelian or red jasper cabochon, featuring natural dark inclusions that add to its unique character. The deep reddish-brown stone is mounted in a silver setting with a decorative twisted rope border, indicative of early 20th-century craftsmanship.

The brooch is secured with a traditional C-clasp fastening to the reverse, a feature commonly found in antique and vintage jewellery.

Dimensions:

2.5 x 2 x 1.5 cm. weight 10.2g

Condition:

Good vintage condition, with light wear commensurate with age. Some natural inclusions in the stone and minor patina to the silver setting. The clasp functions well.
