Archival Detail
Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Sporting jewellery gained immense popularity in Great Britain during the Victorian era and mid-20th century, celebrating traditional field sports such as game shooting, hunting, and equestrian pursuits through finely detailed miniature motifs.

These pieces were commonly constructed from 9ct or 18ct solid gold, sterling silver, and occasionally featured accent enamelling or set gemstones to highlight realistic features.

Authentic items feature official British hallmarks denoting gold purity, such as 375 for 9ct gold, alongside an assay office mark, date letter, and makers initials.

A vintage gold sporting pin offers a tailored accent when worn on a wool lapel, tweed jacket, silk scarf, or suit collar for formal and country events.

Gently wipe the gold surface with a soft, lint-free jewellery cloth and store the piece inside a fabric-lined box away from humidity and harsh chemicals.
