The Arts and Crafts movement emphasized handcraftsmanship, traditional techniques, and natural motifs, reacting against mass production during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

These pieces typically utilized sterling silver, vitreous enamel in various shades, and occasionally semi-precious stones or cultured pearls.

Authentic pieces often feature makers marks or hallmarks stamped on the reverse, alongside hand-finished details and characteristic signs of age such as gentle patina on the silver.

Such statement pieces can be worn as a focal point against minimalist clothing to highlight their intricate craftsmanship and distinctive colour palette.

Store pieces in a dry environment away from direct sunlight, avoid harsh chemical dips which can damage enamel, and clean gently with a soft microfibre cloth.
