A rare Victorian novelty silver vesta, by Hilliard & Thomason. The body is formed as a hoof in a horseshoe and is fully cast front and back. The hinged lid has the striker and it is fully hallmarked to the base. The Victorians loved novelty items and this is both a collectable and sought after example. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no holes or splits. The stiker has some loss of definition and there are a couple of blemishes to the sides, shown in photograph and commensurate with age and use.
