An incredible matching set of antique turquoise and silver jewellery - necklace, earrings and ring, all with beautiful hand engraved patterns to the reverse. Please ask if you'd like any specific additional photos.

• Condition: All in excellent antique condition with a lovely aged patina which I have not overpolished.

• Hallmarks/stamps: The ring is stamped SILVER, all pieces test as 925 sterling silver.

• Era: Estimated Arts and Crafts c1880s-1910.

• Earrings size: Approximately 4.5 x 1.5cm, or 3.5cm tall not including the wires, 12.1g.

• Ring size: O (UK), 7 (US), The face measures approximately 2.6 x 1.7cm x 1.3cm tall, 13.9g.

• Necklace size: 49cm (just over 19 inches), 71.7g. The turquoises range in size from approximately 5mm to 2.5cm.

In the Arts and Crafts movement of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, jewellers focused on handcrafted production and organic forms over mass manufacturing.

Jewellers of this period frequently paired silver with natural, polished cabochons such as turquoise matrix, opal, or moonstone. The metalwork often features hand-hammered textures, wirework borders, rope twists, and hand-bezelled mountings.
