In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

FAQs

Art Deco cigarette cases gained immense popularity during the 1920s and 1930s, reflecting a cultural shift toward modernism, sleek geometry, and luxurious personal accessories for both men and women.

These items are typically crafted from sterling silver featuring engine-turned engraving, known as guilloche, beneath a translucent layer of vitreous enamel in various colours.

Authenticity is verified through clear hallmarks indicating the metal purity, makers mark, and assay office, alongside inspecting the glass-like quality and weight of the vitreous enamel.

Such pieces serve as striking decorative objects when displayed open or closed on a coffee table tray, desk surface, or within a glass-fronted cabinet alongside other collectables.

Preserve the piece by avoiding abrasive silver polishes on the enamelled sections, handling with care to prevent chipping, and storing in a dry environment away from direct sunlight.
