This stunning Art Deco pendant features a butterfly wing under glass and is set in a large tear-drop-shaped silver gallery. It is a perfect example of the Art Deco era, which used bold, bright jewellery and unique materials made into fascinating shapes with superb attention to detail.

The colour of the butterfly wings is breathtaking. They feature vivid iridescent shades of blue at different angles as they catch the light.

Butterfly wing jewellery has a long history and was popular from the late 1800s to the 1960s. It is gaining popularity again with sustainable butterfly farms worldwide.

This stunning pendant is truly wonderful and is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1919. The butterfly wing is in excellent condition.
