Early Victorian Mahoganysecretaire Bookcase

19th century
Description

Elegant Early Victorian Mahogany Secretaire Bookcase (c.1840)

A fine example of early Victorian craftsmanship, this stunning two-part mahogany secretaire bookcase combines timeless elegance with practical design.

The upper section features two glazed doors with elegant gothic arched astragals, enclosing three adjustable shelves, ideal for displaying books, porcelain, or curios. The mahogany has aged beautifully, with a rich patina enhancing its depth and grain.
