Antique Ersari Turkmen main carpet from Northern Afghanistan.

Circa 1900.

A good example of an Afghan Ersari Turkmen main carpet, the large octagonal guls are arranged in three rows of four. The carpet has a warm madder red colour with the design in dark indigo blue and light burnt orange.

The carpet is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile. The original kilim end is showing some losses, if you would like this straightened and secured we will include this in the price.

The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use such as a dining room or a living room.
