Antique Uzbek Embroidered 'Suzani' Kilim, Excellent Condition, Circa 1900-20.

Description

Size: 9ft 9in x 5ft 6in (296 x 167cm).

Antique Uzbek flat weave kilim with embroidered design, these are known as 'suzani kilim'.

Circa 1900-20.

This interesting kilim is woven in nine strips of un-dyed ivory wool, which are then embroidered with large Uzbek octagonal guls and a traditional border design, the strips are then stitched together to make the kilim.

A beautiful kilim that would make an outstanding wall hanging or could be used on the floor.

The kilim is in excellent condition with very slight signs of use.
