Antique 18th Century Walnut Chest of Drawers

Description

A fine 18th-century walnut chest of drawers of good proportions. The moulded cornice top sits above an arrangement of two short over three long drawers, one being notably deep for added storage. Each drawer features delicate inlay work and carved mouldings. The sides are panelled, and the piece stands on original square block feet.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout, with honest signs of age and use. There is surface wear including age-related marks and scratches. The top shows splitting, staining, and some losses, along with a historical repair. Splitting and loss are also evident to one side, and there is minor loss to one of the drawer fronts. The chest of drawers remains solid and sound.
