Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

An Edwardian yellow gold gypsy ring features a central blue sapphire flanked by two red rubies, all secured in star-cut flush settings upon a tapered band with scroll-engraved shoulders. The highly polished piece displays general age-related surface wear, complemented by clear 18-carat gold Birmingham hallmarks from 1901 and a substantial 7mm width that tapers comfortably toward the back. Sized at M 1/2 with a weight of 3.7 grams, the ring functions as a versatile piece of fine antique jewellery suitable for daily wear on various occasions. A buyer wears the band on the hand, bringing a touch of early twentieth-century British craftsmanship to personal collections and outfits.

A gypsy ring, popular during the Victorian and Edwardian eras, features gemstones set flush within a smooth metal band, secured by star-shaped metal engravings or recessed settings.

These rings are constructed from solid yellow or rose gold and feature flush-set precious gemstones such as rubies, sapphires, and diamonds embedded into the band.

Authentic Edwardian rings display British hallmarks denoting gold purity and maker marks, alongside hand-engraved starburst settings around flush-mounted gemstones.

The low-profile design allows the band to be worn daily as a standalone piece or stacked alongside contemporary plain gold bands and fine rings.

Clean the ring using warm water, mild liquid soap, and a soft toothbrush to remove debris around the settings, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners and ultrasonic devices.
