This magnificent bed dates from the 1890s and is a stunning example of fine French craftsmanship. Made from rich, warm-toned walnut, it features incredibly detailed hand carvings throughout.
The footboard is equally elaborate, with sweeping carved garlands, shell motifs, and stylised acanthus leaves that give this piece an air of grandeur and timeless elegance.
The bed is set up for a standard UK double mattress and comes with a sturdy base if required.
Optional Conversion:
For an additional £250, the bed can be professionally converted to accommodate a 5ft wide mattress (UK king size). This includes new custom side rails and a larger base, with a tasteful 3cm overhang on either side to preserve the bed’s proportional integrity.
