Art Nouveau WMF polished pewter art nouveau 3 branch candelabra. Modelnumber 143 made c 1905-1910. The centre of the piece is decorated with a Celtic style winged dragon with entwined vines and leaves. Each candleholder has two rows of circles and is topped with a polished brass candleholder. Marked to base with modelnumber 143, B , Ostrich Mark ( possibly with a G )I/O and OX. Made in Germany. Excellent original condition
History

Founded in 1853 as Metallwarenfabrik Straub und Schweizer, they evolved through mergers and acquisitions to become WMF and one of the worlds largest producers of household metalware by 1900. The company is known for its high-quality products, particularly silver plated tableware and Art Nouveau designs
