AgAu Jewellery has dated this piece to the 1910s.
It is in superb condition, looks absolutely fabulous on display and is a very nice collectable piece that should prove a sound investment for the future. The Chester Assay Office closed down in August 1962 and, as a result, items bearing the Chester Hallmark have become increasingly collectable.

The main body of the dish is decorated with an elaborate pierced organic pattern, has a plain base and stands atop 3 paw shaped feet.
The hallmarks are very clear and crisp and although the maker’s mark was lightly stamped at the time of assay I am confident of the maker given the very distinctive shape of the cartouche.
