Victorian Scottish Banded Agate Torpedo Drop Silver Earrings

These beautiful 19th century earrings feature glossy striped banded agate beads on solid silver wires. Each bead is individually set with cupped silver fittings, rather than just drilled through with a wire, a good indication of quality.
 
• Condition: Excellent antique condition. The balls can rotate within the cups.
 
• Fixing: Sterling silver wires, supplied with tiny silicone ''keepers'' to pop over the ends for security.
 
• Hallmarks: None found. The earrings test as 925 sterling silver.
 
• Era: Victorian (c.1837-1901).
 
• Size: Approximately 5.5cm drop from the top of the ear wires to the bottom of the drop x 1.2cm wide at the agate ball.
 
• Weight: 5.9g.
