Gatsby Jewellery Ltd has dated this Kutchinsky Old Cut Diamond Ring to the 1940s.
The centre stone is secured in a four claw square collet, with two pairs of eight-cut diamonds set in the step-down shoulders. The curved, rolling detailing either side of the shoulder stones softens a design that is otherwise heavily influenced by the strong geometric forms of the late Deco period.
Presented in a vintage Kutchinsky box.
