Antique 6.10ct Diamond and 9ct Yellow Gold Brooch/pendant Circa 1885

19th century
Sold by AC Silver
Description

A stunning, fine and impressive antique 1880's 6.10 carat diamond and 9 carat yellow gold, silver set brooch/pendant; part of our diverse antique jewellery and estate jewelry collections.

This stunning, fine and impressive antique Victorian pendant/brooch has been crafted in 9ct yellow gold with a silver setting.

The pierced decorated stellate design is ornamented with a central feature silver claw set 1.05ct Old European round cut diamond.

The central stone is encircled with ten claw set Old European cut diamonds, creating a central cluster design.

The pierced decorated floriated frame emanating from the central design in a swirl formation is embellished with three further Old European round cut diamonds, in a combination of collet and pavé settings.

The brooch secures to the reverse with a 9ct yellow gold detachable hinged pin and clasp fastening; the removable pin indicates the high quality of the piece.

This versatile brooch may also be worn as a pendant, suspended from a contemporary 18ct yellow gold 45.72cm/18' chain via the hinged bale to the reverse.

This stunning antique diamond pendant/brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 9 carat gold and silver.

The brooch is supplied with an IDGL diamond grading certificate for the feature diamond, in addition to an IDGL diamond grading report card for the supporting stones.

This stunning and impressive pendant brooch is one of the finest of its type you could hope to acquire.

An antique Old European cut diamond pendant, doubling as a brooch, offers versatility and timeless sophistication, making it an exquisite choice for milestone celebrations, anniversaries or as a cherished heirloom for collectors of fine antique jewellery.

Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.

Condition

This antique brooch is exceptional quality, set with a stunning feature diamond displaying a fine white colour, brilliance and presence.

The stunning evenly colour matched supporting diamonds display a fine white colour and brilliance.

The brooch is an exceptional gauge of gold and silver, and is in exceptional condition.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of Victorian jewellery/estate jewelry.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
