Rare Asprey Sterling Silver Turquoise Propelling Pencil Magnifying Glass 1905

1900 - 1920
Description

A superb rare English antique solid sterling silver pencil and magnifying glass. It is hallmarked for London 1905 with the maker being Asprey & Co Ltd. It has been superbly designed having a turquoise slider. It is in super condition being free from chips cracks splits holes and repairs, just a tiny mark to the top see final photo, and it needs a carpenters style pencil (available online). It works well sliding smoothly and magnifies strongly. It measures approx. 4.5 inches (11cm) long by over 1.5 inches (3.9cm) across the glass and weighs 24 grams. A very nice quality rare piece.

Declaration

The Silver Squirrel has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
