A stunningly beautiful Victorian Scottish silver gilt agate vinaigrette. Made in Scotland, probably Edinburgh, around 1850. As usual with small silver items made in Victorian times it is not hallmarked as it was not required in Scotland. Both the top and bottom agates are in excellent condition as is the rest of the vinaigrette. The grill is intricately fret cut with flowers and is also gilded. A wonderful piece that would be the star of any collection.
