Rare Sterling Silver Military Boer War Era Vesta Case Hms Prince George Naval

Description

A rare English antique solid sterling silver Boer War era Royal Navy vesta case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1899 with the maker being William Hutton. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, just a single faint mark to the front. The spring is strong. It measures approx. 2 inches (5.3cm) tall by 1.75 inches (4.2cm) wide and weighs 40 grams. A very interesting piece.
