Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
From the finely textured fur of the coat, the features of the head and the red gemstone that highlights the eye, no effort has been spared to craft this exceptional piece of jewellery. The back of the brooch is as beautiful as the front.

The dog sits centrally on a long, slender bar in contrasting white gold. The long straight pin sits nicely in its catch and there is the additional safety of a hinged safety catch that holds the pin in place. This catch is tight and needs to be pushed as far as possible to clasp.

Marked 9ct to the bar which is in a contrasting white gold.
A fabulous gift for a dog lover!
