A stunning English Edwardian antique solid sterling silver tyg bowl. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1906 with the maker being D & M Davis (David & Maurice Davis). It has been beautifully designed and has been engraved 'FROM THE AMATEURS WARWICKSHIRE XI NOV 1st 1920', I do not know what this refers to, possibly Cricket (the local newspapers may shed light on it)? It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 5.25 inches (13.3cm) tall to the top of the handles by 4.75 inches (12cm) to the rim by 5 inches (12.6cm) across the bowl excluding the handles by 3.5 inches (8.8cm) across the base and is heavy weighting 434 grams. A very pretty rare piece.
