A super quality very unusual English solid sterling silver box. It is hallmarked for London 1948 with the maker being Wakely & Wheeler. It has a stylish design and has been engraved with an figure possibly in a 15th century costume, the inside is gilded. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs, it comes with its original outer leather case. The hinge is smooth and tight. It measures approx. 3 inches (7.6cm) square by 0.5 inch (1.4cm) tall and weighs 122 grams. A very high quality example.
