Cased Silver Christening Mug Hallmarked Birmingham 1969

A vintage solid silver footed christening mug, very nicely shaped and in smart plain polished silver. The mug is very nicely proportioned. The sides flare outwards towards the fold over rim and the foot is stepped and ribbed with a nicely curving bottom edge. Quite unusually the handle has quite a flat profile, which adds a hint of 1960's style to this mug, which was made in 1969.

 

Hallmarked as sterling silver, Birmingham 1969 with the makers mark for the Angora Silver Plate co.

It comes with its original fitted box which is in very good vintage condition inside and out, with just some faint marks on the cream silk.

Would make a great new baby or christening gift.
