Large copper masthead ships lamp
 
This large copper masthead ships lamp by Telford Crier and Mackay Ltd was made in the 1930’s.
 
Telford Crier & Mackay were established in 1931, these would have been made prior to WWII.
 
This masthead lamp has the attractive tall chimney with the outlets at the top and a swing handle loop to help its hanging, it also has the lugs to each side for it to be supported on the masthead.
 
To the rear it has a sliding cover to allow access to the interior. Originally it would have been an oil lamp but has been converted for electricity.
 
These make wonderful feature/character lighting for the home or exterior.
 
What a great conversation piece this will be, and a very unusual item to display.
