Description

A beautiful rare French antique solid silver vesta case. It is hallmarked with the French crab mark and a makers mark. I would date it to c1900. It has been superbly made being embossed with a iris flower design. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the inside has been gilded. It measures approx. 2 inches (5cm) long by 1.5 inches (3.6cm) and weighs 22 grams. A very unusual example.
