Store pieces individually in soft pouches, avoid harsh ultrasonic cleaners on older settings, and have the prongs and bezel mounts professionally inspected annually to secure the stones.

An antique ring provides a sophisticated contrast when worn alongside modern minimalist bands or paired with classic tailored evening wear.

Authentic pieces typically feature hand-cut diamonds with distinctive small tables and open culets, paired with period hallmarks, hand-fabricated metalwork, and characteristic bezel or millegrain settings.

Goldsmiths of this era commonly utilised yellow gold, platinum-topped gold, and high-karat settings to securely hold old European cut and old mine cut diamonds.

Edwardian jewellery, spanning the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910, is characterised by light, airy motifs, frequent use of platinum and yellow gold, and intricate filigree work inspired by lace and garlands.
