Mersham Manor Antiques has dated this piece to the Regency era.

Having four cock-beaded long graduating drawers, of fine dove-tail construction, with turned wooden handles. All drawers open smoothly and easily. The top drawer is beautifully decorated with inlaid fine box-wood stringing. All original locks and brass escutcheons are present. Each drawer still retaining the original blue paper lining to each base.

The top of the chest is skilfully decorated with satinwood cross-banding, which contrasts beautifully with the darker wood of the mahogany.
Elegantly shaped apron, standing on splayed bracket feet.
In excellent antique condition. Professionally restored shrink mark to one side of the chest, shown in the pictures.

Very solid sturdy and strong.
