Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Figural pin cushions became immensely popular in late Victorian and Edwardian Britain, often crafted by renowned silversmiths as both functional sewing accessories and whimsical novelty items for the dressing table.

These items are typically formed from pressed or cast sterling silver, featuring detailed chasing to define facial features, and fitted with a plush silk, velvet, or plush wool cushion insert.

Authenticity is verified by checking for clear British hallmarks indicating the assay office, date letter, and makers mark, as well as examining the weight, construction quality, and natural age-related patination of the silver.

These miniature collectables work well as curated display pieces on a dressing table, within a glass-fronted cabinet, or styled on a stack of art books to add a touch of character and history to a space.

Clean the silver exterior gently with a specialist microfibre cloth, avoiding abrasive polishes that can wear away hallmarks, and keep the fabric insert away from direct sunlight and moisture to prevent deterioration.
