Description

A rare English Victorian antique solid sterling silver picture top (actually bottom) vinaigrette box. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1856 with the maker being Alfred Taylor. It has been superbly designed having flowers engraved to its lid and a church to its base (a wedding gift maybe) and is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. The hinge is smooth and tight. It measures approx. 1.25 inches (3.2cm) long by 1 inch (2.6cm) wide and weighs 12 grams. A very high quality rare piece.
