Pretty Antique Silver Photo Frame with Bow Detail Hallmarked Birmingham 1906

A very pretty antique solid silver photo frame, with lovely bow detail to the top and a plain polished silver border. A delightful small frame, perfect for a small treasured portrait. The frame is glazed and the back is wood with the original stand and hinge, which work well.

 

Clear hallmarks are visible on one side for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1906, Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and the maker's mark: E. Mander & Son Ltd.

Condition: In very good antique condition with just one pinprick mark near to the top, (barely visible but mentioned for total accuracy).

 

Measurements: Height: 9.5cm Width: 6.7 cm Rear Aperture size to fit photo size 8.5 x 5.7 cm maximum.
