A beautiful Victorian antique ring set with five oval opals: a larger central stone flanked by two graduated sized stones. The setting tests as 18ct gold and wraps around the stones as a claw fitting, attactively fashioned as branch forms that hug the stones. The gold setting is textured along the gallery below the opals with a motif to the shoulders of the ring.

The opals are particularly beautiful with lots of vibrant flashes of pinks, blues & greens. It is a gorgeous ring for anyone who appreciates opals and would make a very special birthstone gift for someone celebrating an October birthday.

Hallmarks: The hallmarks are worn though a date letter is visible indicating 1899.

Condition: one opal has been replaced but fits well with the others.

Measurements: Length of stones setting: 1.9 cm Width across setting: 8mm Width of band at base: 1.3 mm
