Art Deco George V Sterling Silver Tray - 1934

Description

An elegant antique George V sterling silver tray which has been designed in the Art Deco style with a plain oval body, shaped and detailed borders, stylish handles and resting on a flat base. This lovely silver tray would be ideal to use for decanters and glasses. It would also hold a three-piece tea set comfortably. It remains in excellent condition.

Height (to top of handle): 4.5 cms (1.8")

Length (from handle to handle): 44 cms (17.3")

Width: 26.8 cms (10.6")

Weight: 40.3 troy ounces (1,252 grams)

It was hallmarked in Sheffield for 1934 by Mappin & Webb.
