This is a good quality antique English open Victorian mahogany bookcase / bookshelf, in the style of the Georgian period, circa 1870, measuring 2ft 10” wide, with a lovely colour and in good original condition.

Incorporating single plank mahogany top, the front of the bookcase is decorated with corbels either side. The bookcase includes three height adjustable shelves. The original wooden bars can be moved up or down to adjust the height of each shelf. The Georgian style bookcase stands on a block moulded plinth.

Condition Report:

This is a good quality antique English open Victorian mahogany bookcase / bookshelf, in the style of the Georgian period, circa 1870, measuring 2ft 10” wide, with a lovely colour and in good original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, but nothing significant, considering the age of the item. This bookshelf features a rich mahogany colour having been cleaned and French polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop. The shelves and adjustable wooden bars are all intact (none are missing). The bookcase stands on its original plinth and retains its original plinth and original backboards. The item is solid in joint and ready to use.
