A lovely solid silver cream jug with flared spout, and a decorative edging with a notched pattern to the rim. The jug stands on three elegantly curved legs with paw feet and the handle loops around to join the body with a flourish. The man body and interior is in smooth polished silver.
A nicely proportioned small jug, 100 years old. Perfect as a small cream jug, this would grace any tea tray beautifully!
Clear hallmarks are visible for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1924 and Lion Passant for Sterling Silver. The makers mark is for Adie Brothers Ltd.
