Rare German Antique 800 Solid Silver & Jasper Cherub Box C1900 Germany

Description

A very pretty German solid silver and dark blue jasper ceramic snuff or trinket box. It is hallmarked with the 800 silver standard mark and dates to c1900-1920. It has been superbly designed being cast and pierced with cherubs accentuated by a dark blue jasper ceramic background. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the inside is clean and the lid closes flush, the ceramic is perfect. It measures approx. 2 inches (5.2cms) across by 1.5 inches (14.2cms) by a touch under 1 inch tall and weighs 40 grams. A beautiful rare piece.
