A fine and impressive antique Georgian 0.57 carat jet, black enamel and 9 carat yellow gold mourning ring; part of our diverse antique mourning jewellery collections.
 
This fine and impressive antique Georgian mourning ring has been crafted in 9ct yellow gold.
 
The anterior face of the ring is embellished with an impressive black hot enamel panel incorporating the inscription ''Mary Gorst OB:27 DEC: 1804 AE:66''; this commemorates Mary Gorst, who died aged 66, on 27th December 1804.
 
The enamel panel is encompassed with nineteen impressive square faceted cut jet, totalling 0.57ct.
 
The wirework style ring shoulders conjoin with the main setting and meld to form a stranded ring shank.
 
This mourning ring with hair has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 9ct gold.
 
This impressive early 19th century ring is supplied with an IDGL gemstone grading report card.
