Arrowsmith Antiques & Interiors has dated this piece to the Victorian era.

The bookcase has Greek key moulding and is beautifully inlaid with fine swag and ribbon design to the frieze, with inlaid urn and flowers to sides, framed with purpleheart and boxwood string inlay terminating to four square tapering vase shaped feet.
The cabinet has two doors each with their original glass panels and working lock and key.

Width - 132 cm (52 inches)
Depth - 34 cm (13 ½ inches)
Circa - 1890
Edwards & Roberts was established in 1845 at 21 Wardour Street in London and produced fine furniture both in the contemporary styles of the time and in earlier English, French and Georgian styles. They became known for their excellent cabinet work and marquetry inlay.
