A rare and rather fabulous button hook dating to the Edwardian period. This novelty example has a double sided handle featuring dog heads in hallmarked silver. The detail is wonderful, with the faces having characterful expressions and unusual dual tone glass eyes. The shank of the handle has foliate motifs and there is a small area with stylized initials to the bottom of both sides. The button hook is of polished steel and in lovely condition. A useable piece and wonderful addition to any collection.
