A fine pair of large, imposing, French early 19th Century late Empire, probably Charles X period, gilt bronze ormolu and patinated bronze four light candelabra. Finely cast in both matte and bright gilded bronze with stylised classical decoration. Three arm candelabra with gilt bronze candle cups and foliate form drip pans. Additional central candle cup with a beautiful, removable, flame finial snuffer. Sitting aloft a classically designed column with heavy scrolling feet on a triform concave plinth. Excellent condition, great quality, large size and heavy. Would look fabulous in any interior. France, circa 1825.
